Domestic Violence Situation in Wilderness Rim Ends Peacefully After SWAT Deployment

A domestic violence incident in North Bend, Washington, led to a substantial police response, including SWAT and K9 units, early this morning. The events unfolded late Friday night when a 911 call reported domestic violence inside a moving vehicle on I-90. Despite initial difficulties locating the vehicle, dispatch successfully traced the call to a residence in the Wilderness Rim area. Upon arrival, troopers heard a woman being assaulted in the garage, prompting swift action. The female victim escaped, but the suspect refused to comply with police commands and barricaded himself inside the garage.

Negotiators attempted to make contact but were unsuccessful, leading to the deployment of the King County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team. The situation was resolved without further escalation around 8:50 a. m. , highlighting the collaborative efforts of law enforcement. Trooper Rick Johnson confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing, with details being managed by the Washington State Patrol.
