Smooth Rides Ahead: Two North Bend Road Overlays Set for Late August and September

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

North Bend is set to enhance its road infrastructure with two key pavement overlay projects starting soon. The first, on Ballarat Avenue, will commence on August 26 and is anticipated to be finished by September 2, while the Cedar Falls Way project will follow, beginning on September 20 and concluding on September 27. Both projects, managed by Becker Blacktop, involve removing two inches of old asphalt and replacing it with new material. This process is vital for extending the life of the roads and providing a smoother, safer driving experience for residents. During construction, which will be conducted from 7 a.

m. to 6 p. m. on weekdays, residents should expect rough road conditions and intermittent noise. Temporary lane shifts will be implemented to ensure the safety of both the crews and the public, and the City will work to coordinate with residents regarding access to their driveways.

Any road sections deemed "failed" due to significant damage will be completely removed and rebuilt. For questions, residents are encouraged to contact Project Engineer Mike Mayen.
