Snoqualmie, WALocal News

A Heat Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for multiple regions in Washington state, effective from 8 AM Thursday to 11 PM PDT Friday. This advisory warns of dangerously high temperatures expected to reach the mid 80s to mid 90s, which could lead to a moderate risk of heat-related illnesses. Areas affected include the Southwest Interior, Tacoma Area, and Seattle and Vicinity. Vulnerable populations, such as individuals without air conditioning or adequate hydration, are at increased risk. The advisory encourages residents to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and check on family and neighbors.

It also emphasizes the importance of never leaving children or pets unattended in vehicles. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends frequent rest breaks for outdoor workers. Heat stroke is classified as a medical emergency, and individuals experiencing heat-related symptoms should seek immediate help.
