Community Emergency Response Team Training in Snoqualmie Valley

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program in Snoqualmie Valley aims to empower residents with vital skills for emergency preparedness and response. This hands-on training covers essential topics such as disaster preparedness, fire suppression, medical operations, and light search and rescue techniques, enabling participants to effectively assist during emergencies like earthquakes and floods. The program consists of five Saturday sessions scheduled between April and June 2024 at the Snoqualmie Fire Station. For a fee of $35, which is fully refundable upon completion, participants receive valuable equipment and resources to aid in disaster response. The curriculum also includes critical training on disaster psychology and the Incident Command System, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of emergency management.

Registration is open to individuals aged 18 and older, with a first-come, first-served policy to secure limited spots. This initiative not only enhances community resilience but also fosters a culture of preparedness among residents, contributing to a safer and more prepared Snoqualmie Valley.
