North Bend Installs New Flashing Crosswalks to Boost Pedestrian Safety

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

North Bend has taken a proactive step to enhance pedestrian safety by installing three new Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) crosswalks at key intersections: Ballarat Avenue N and the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, Mt. Si Road and the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, and E North Bend Way and SE Orchard Drive. The RRFBs are designed to improve visibility, giving drivers more time to notice and respond to pedestrians. This initiative greatly benefits local residents and visitors using the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, enhancing safety for both pedestrians and cyclists. Furthermore, the new crosswalks improve connectivity between Si View Park and downtown North Bend, encouraging a more walkable community.

Residents are reminded to stay alert, avoid distractions, and adhere to local speed limits to ensure everyone's safety.
