Snoqualmie Offers Vehicle License Fee Refunds Following System Error

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

In 2021, Snoqualmie voters approved Proposition No. 1, which implemented a new sales and use tax and repealed the vehicle license fee effective April 1, 2022. Due to a system update failure by the Department of Licensing, some vehicle owners were charged this fee after the repeal date. The City of Snoqualmie is now proactively offering refunds to all residents who paid the fee post-repeal. Affected individuals are encouraged to complete an online form with the required documentation for each vehicle to initiate the refund process.

This initiative reflects the city's commitment to correcting financial discrepancies and ensuring timely reimbursements, reinforcing trust and accountability within the community.
