Help Shape EV Charging in Snoqualmie: Suggest Locations for New PSE Pole-Mounted Chargers

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The City of Snoqualmie is set to enhance its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in partnership with Puget Sound Energy (PSE), with plans to install pole-mounted chargers throughout the area. This initiative is crucial for residents without access to private charging options, such as those living in apartments or condominiums. The community is invited to suggest locations for these new charging stations via an interactive online map, with additional in-person feedback opportunities available in January. The pole-mounted chargers will feature retractable cords to keep pedestrian pathways clear, providing up to 25 miles of range per hour of charging. This program aims to improve access to EV charging for local residents and support business growth by offering charging options near shopping and community destinations.

PSE is committed to funding the installation, highlighting its dedication to clean energy solutions. Community feedback will be essential in determining the final locations for the chargers, ensuring they meet residents' specific needs and promoting sustainable transportation.
