Valley Pool Together Launches New Website with Free Community Resources

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

Valley Pool Together has launched a new website advocating for public aquatic access among Snoqualmie Valley residents. The site features a comprehensive swim lesson guide that provides detailed information on local swim lesson providers, developed with the help of community volunteers. This guide includes lesson costs, schedules, and highlights the availability of adult and adaptive lessons, addressing families' diverse needs. A survey conducted earlier this year revealed concerning statistics, such as 43% of children and 21% of adults being not water competent, indicating a critical need for improved access to swim lessons. Co-founders Linda Grez and Kate Moscato Leen expressed gratitude towards regional swim providers for their collaboration and emphasized the importance of community feedback for ongoing updates to the guide.

They aim to utilize this data to encourage local leaders to unite in meeting the community's aquatic needs. The website serves as a vital resource for families while fostering a collective effort towards enhanced health and safety, highlighting the pressing need for accessible aquatic opportunities in the Snoqualmie Valley.
