The 2025 North Bend Citizens Academy is now accepting applications for its informative eight-week course, scheduled from February 3 to March 24, 2025. The program is designed to enhance participants' knowledge of city operations, covering essential topics such as city administration, legal processes, public safety, and community development. Each week will feature engaging sessions, including tours of local facilities like the Snoqualmie Police Department and Eastside Fire and Rescue. Open to individuals aged 16 years and older, the academy will prioritize local residents, allowing them to connect with city leaders and engage with like-minded community members. Applications will be accepted until January 3, 2025, and can be submitted through various channels, including email or in-person at City Hall.

This initiative fosters community involvement and provides valuable insights into how local government functions. Participants will also receive recognition at an event on April 1, enhancing their connection to North Bend. Engaging in this academy not only educates residents but also strengthens ties within the community.
