Community Selects 2024 Plein Air Paint Out Honorable Mention Winner

The Snoqualmie Plein Air Paint Out event, held during the summer, highlighted the stunning bridges of Snoqualmie, allowing local artists to showcase their talents and the region's natural beauty. At the end of the event in July, judges awarded first, second, and third places to talented artists, while the community had the opportunity to vote for the Honorable Mention winner from August 5 to September 6. Cheryl Comstock's painting, "Meadowbrook Bridge," was awarded first place, with Ginny Kortesoja's "Afternoon with Linda" and Linda Klenczar's "Snoqualmie River Flows Under Meadowbrook Bridge" taking second and third place, respectively. Debby McAllister's work, also titled "Meadowbrook Bridge," earned her the Honorable Mention. Each winner will receive gift certificates, and Comstock's first-place painting will be prominently displayed on the city's promotional poster for the 2025 event.

The next Plein Air Paint Out is scheduled for July 19, 2025, with the theme still to be announced. This event fosters community engagement and appreciation for local art and scenery, highlighting Snoqualmie's cultural vibrancy. The Plein Air Paint Out not only showcases artistic talent but also enhances the city's appeal as a destination for art enthusiasts.
