On September 14, 2024, North Bend residents will have the opportunity to participate in a free shredding event designed to help them clear out unnecessary paperwork. Taking place from 8 a. m. to 12 p. m.

at North Bend City Hall, this event allows individuals to securely dispose of old documents, with a limit of two file boxes or three grocery bags per person. As many people struggle with cluttered home offices, this initiative serves as a timely solution to promote organization and safety. The City of North Bend emphasizes the importance of secure document disposal to protect personal information. However, participants should be aware that certain items, such as stiff metal, plastic bags, and DVDs, are not accepted to prevent jams in the shredding equipment. Located at 920 SE Cedar Falls Way, City Hall is easily accessible for community members.
