Snohomish County Adopt-A-Road Program Celebrates Long-Term Volunteers, Adds

Snohomish County Public Works expanded its Adopt-A-Road program by adding 11 new adoptable sections in the Lynnwood and Bothell areas. Snyder announced the expansion during a ceremony, citing the program's popularity as the driving force behind the increase in sections available for adoption. Community members can view the list of available sections and find more information on the Adopt-A-Road webpage. The program encourages local volunteerism and aims to improve the maintenance of county roads. Public Works oversees approximately 1,600 miles of county roads, more than 200 bridges, and manages substantial waste disposal.

The department emphasizes safety, mobility, and environmental sustainability while maintaining fiscal responsibility. As the program grows, officials anticipate adding more sections later this year. Public Works has received numerous accolades for its performance and commitment to the community.
