Mandalay Restaurant Caf to Open Quick-Service Spot at Ivy City Food Works

Silver Spring, MDLocal News

Mandalay Restaurant & Café is set to open a quick-service location at Ivy City Food Works in Northeast D. C. , expanding its reach in the region. Owner Joe Myint sought customer input in February regarding the new delivery and takeout option, which complements the existing full-service restaurant in downtown Silver Spring. The new location will offer the entire Mandalay menu for takeout and delivery, with the exception of Thursday and Sunday specials.

Myint confirmed that the downtown location will remain operational alongside the Ivy City venue, ensuring continuity for existing customers. The Myint family also operates Bandoola Bowl in Foggy Bottom and previously ran Sticx, which closed earlier this year and was replaced by Han Palace. The decision to open a quick-service spot reflects a growing trend of convenience-focused dining options in urban areas. The opening date has yet to be revealed, generating anticipation among local food enthusiasts. Mandalay Restaurant & Café is known for its authentic cuisine, attracting a loyal customer base in Silver Spring.
