Solaire Social Food Hall Welcomes Vegan Junk Food DMV Following Sokos Exit

Silver Spring, MDLocal News

Solaire Social in Silver Spring has introduced two new eateries, Vegan Junk Food DMV and Passport Eatz, as it celebrates its first anniversary. Vegan Junk Food DMV, a fully vegan establishment, replaces Soko Butcher, which recently closed following the departure of Le Fantome ghost kitchen. Meanwhile, Passport Eatz, operated by four brothers from Jamaica, is currently soft opening in the space formerly occupied by Pau & Sophia’s Thai Kitchen. This shift occurs as Solaire Social has seen several original vendors exit, including Soko Butcher and Harvey’s Market. Passport Eatz offers an array of Jamaican dishes, including jerk chicken empanadas and oxtail sandwiches, while its sister concept, Passport Juices, provides various juices and smoothies.

The introduction of these eateries reflects a growing diversity in dining options within the community. Local reports highlight the significance of these changes in enhancing the vibrancy of Silver Spring’s food scene.
