The Silver Spring Library station sidewalk has reopened, providing pedestrian access as construction on the Maryland Purple Line progresses. The walkway connects Wayne Avenue to Bonifant Street, offering access to local businesses, including Café via Roma, which recently reopened after a summer closure. Crews are focused on work at the Silver Spring Library Station, ensuring continuous access to the library and nearby establishments. ADA-compliant pedestrian pathways will be maintained through Wayne Avenue and Fenton Street, though temporary changes may occur around the work zone. Construction activities are scheduled from 7 a.

m. to 7 p. m. on weekdays and weekends as needed, with the project expected to continue through fall 2025. Fencing will delineate the work zone, allowing for excavation and utility relocations.
