Maryland Purple Line Files Temporary Noise Waiver for Spring Street Bridge

Maryland Purple Line officials filed a Temporary Noise Waiver application to support nighttime construction at the Spring Street Bridge site in Silver Spring. The waiver allows construction activities from 7 p. m. to 7 a. m.

, including the installation of bridge abutment foundations, bridge deck work, and concrete placement. Crews initiated pile installation for the bridge abutments earlier this month, marking a significant phase in the project. The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection is currently reviewing the application and will accept public comments for a minimum of 10 days.
