Tribute to Americas Veterans Concert, Fall Makers Market Set for Downtown Silver Spring This Weekend

The 17th Annual Tribute to America’s Veterans Concert will take place on Friday from 6 to 8:30 p. m. at the American Legion Post 41 in Silver Spring, featuring performances by David Cole and the Main Street Blues. Alan Bowser, a local attorney with a rich family history of military service, will be the keynote speaker. His ancestors include a Continental Army soldier from the American Revolution and several World War II veterans.

Bowser's leadership roles include organizing the concert and serving as Commander for the Sons of the American Legion. He emphasizes the importance of supporting veterans, having advised national leaders on related issues. The concert, now in its 17th year, is free to attend, with tickets available via Eventbrite. In addition to the concert, the downtown area will host its Fall Makers Market on Saturday, providing a platform for local artisans.
