Metro Red Line Service Change NoMa-Gallaudet U Station Shuts for Track Upgrades

Metro will close the NoMa-Gallaudet U station this weekend for track work, replacing Red Line trains with free shuttle buses between Union Station and Rhode Island Avenue. Red Line trains will operate every 8 minutes during the day and every 10 minutes after 9:30 p. m. between Shady Grove and Union Station. At Judiciary Square, only one track will be available, with trains arriving every 16 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes after 9:30 p.

m. The Blue, Yellow, and Green Lines will operate normally, while the Orange Line will run every 18 minutes. The Silver Line will run every 12 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p. m. between Ashburn and Downtown Largo, but there will be no service to New Carrollton this weekend.

Riders can board at nearby Gallery Place to reduce wait times. Metro’s customer service team is prepared to assist with inquiries and trip planning via chat, email, phone, or social media.
