Dominique Dawes Academy Announces Silver Spring Gym as Next Step in National Expansion
Dominique Dawes Academy will expand with new gymnastics locations in Silver Spring and Ashburn by late 2025, as part of a national strategy to open 50 sites in five years. Dawes, an Olympic gold medalist, aims to create a positive, active culture for children through gymnastics and ninja fitness programs. The Silver Spring facility will be located at 12006 Plum Orchard Drive in White Oak. The academy currently operates in Clarksburg, Rockville, and Columbia, enhancing its brand with a new promise to develop happy, active, and strong kids. CEO Adam Zeitsiff stated the expansion focuses on accessibility to high-quality training environments for families.
Dawes's impressive background includes being the first African-American gymnast to compete in the Olympics and winning 15 U. S. Championships. Her legacy includes induction into multiple halls of fame and a sculpture honoring her in Silver Spring. The partnership with Trivest Partners will further solidify the academy’s vision for growth and community impact.
