Tokoa Cheesesteaks Now Open at Commas Food Hall in Downtown Silver Spring

Silver Spring, MDLocal News

Tokoa Cheesesteaks opened at the Commas food hall in downtown Silver Spring, joining four other eateries in a soft launch. Located on the third level of the Ellsworth Place mall, Commas has faced multiple delays due to renovation issues but aims for an official opening in late August or early September. Chefs Evelyn Cruz and Delmy Hernandez created Tokoa to blend classic and innovative dishes, such as cheesesteaks and tacos. The food hall will eventually feature twelve vendors, with only two spaces left available. Upcoming vendors include MV Asian Kitchen and The Champs Kitchen, which promise to diversify the culinary options.

The mall representative, Jenn Buonanotte, confirmed that more vendors will open as inspections and permits are finalized. The food hall occupies the former space of a closed retail store, F21 Red. Commas is positioned to become a popular dining destination in the area.
