Kosher Eatery Cafe K Announces July 14 Grand Opening in Downtown Silver Spring

Cafe K plans to open in downtown Silver Spring on July 14, featuring a kosher dairy menu crafted with high-quality ingredients. The eatery, situated in the former David’s Cafe, is a family venture led by Dan Kugler, who is fulfilling his son-in-law Shai Kornblau’s dream of owning a café. The menu will showcase fresh bagels, paninis, salads, and Nagadi Coffee, all prepared with kosher certification from the Vaad Harabanim of Greater Washington. After four to six weeks, the restaurant will expand its offerings to include dinner, pending the acquisition of a wine license. Kugler has partnered with a renowned Israeli chef to enhance the culinary experience.

Customers can expect a cozy atmosphere, perfect for casual dining or coffee catch-ups. Located at 1300 Spring St. , Cafe K will operate from 7:30 a. m. to 3:00 p.

m. Sunday through Thursday and until 2:00 p. m. on Fridays. This opening adds to the vibrant dining scene in Silver Spring.
