Corey Bellett, a 37-year-old sous chef at Harry’s Fine Foods, was fatally stabbed during an altercation at Capitol Hill Station in Seattle on Saturday evening. Despite prompt emergency aid from Seattle Fire, he died at Harborview Medical Center. Police apprehended 26-year-old Shawn Patrick Moore, who allegedly stabbed Bellett after a brief confrontation on the subway platform. Moore is currently held on $3 million bail, with a charging decision anticipated soon. A fundraiser has been set up to support Bellett's family, emphasizing his deep connections as a husband and friend.

The incident has raised concerns about safety, leading Sound Transit to increase security personnel in the area. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the stabbing, which has shocked the local community. A memorial has formed outside the restaurant in Bellett's honor, reflecting the loss felt by friends and colleagues.
