Capitol Hills hottest color for spring 2024 - Voodoo pink

Seattle, WALocal News

Voodoo Doughnuts is preparing to launch its first Seattle location on Capitol Hill, with a signature pink paint job underway at the Pine at Minor building. The establishment will replace Machiavelli, a beloved local restaurant that has since expanded to Edmonds, as well as Pho 4 U and Lan Hand-Pulled Noodles, which faced lease challenges. The Prado Group, which purchased the building for $5 million in 2022, is spearheading the changes on the block. While Li'l Woody's burger joint continues to thrive, celebrating its expansion to Japan, Voodoo’s opening will further alter the culinary landscape of the area. As of now, no official grand opening date has been announced for Voodoo Doughnuts.

The evolving restaurant scene reflects broader trends in Capitol Hill, where new dining options are continuously emerging. This development also underscores the challenges faced by existing local businesses amid changing property dynamics. Community members are keenly observing these shifts as they impact the neighborhood's character.
