Man police say they busted with a large amount of narcotics and cash in Cal Anderson faces drug charges

Seattle, WALocal News

Hristo Tzenkov is facing serious drug charges after police arrested him in Seattle's Cal Anderson Park, where they discovered a significant amount of narcotics and cash. Officers patrolling the area found Tzenkov with 101. 9 grams of fentanyl, 8. 5 grams of methamphetamine, and $655 in cash, suggesting he was engaged in drug distribution. The King County Prosecutor’s Office charged him with two counts of violating the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, highlighting the potential danger his activities pose to the community.

Tzenkov, a 34-year-old resident of Kirkland, has a troubling criminal history, including pending charges for motor vehicle theft and prior convictions for robbery and burglary. The street value of the seized drugs could exceed $20,000, raising concerns over the implications of his actions. Prosecutors noted that illegal drug transactions often lead to hazardous conditions for the surrounding community. Currently, Tzenkov is being held at the Maleng Regional Justice Center with bail set at $17,575 and has not yet entered a plea. This incident reflects ongoing issues related to drug trafficking in Seattle and the efforts of law enforcement to address them.
