Link light rail closed between Capitol Hill, SODO stations this weekend

Seattle, WALocal News

Sound Transit Link light rail will temporarily close service between Capitol Hill and SODO stations from 10 p. m. on January 17 through January 19 to allow for testing on the new line. Shuttle buses will run every 10 to 15 minutes, providing a crucial connection for passengers at all affected stations. Those traveling southbound from Capitol Hill will have to switch to the shuttle at SODO, and similarly, northbound passengers will need to reconnect at Capitol Hill.

Link trains will maintain a schedule of every 15 minutes from Lynnwood City Center and Capitol Hill, as well as from Angle Lake to SODO. It is advised for passengers to allow extra time for these transfers, especially during peak times. Additionally, shuttle services may experience delays on January 18 due to a march taking place in Capitol Hill. Normal operations are set to resume on January 20, making this service suspension a temporary but necessary measure for infrastructure improvements. The article provides essential information for commuters who rely on the light rail during this period.
