It is Pumpkin Spice Milk Tea season on Capitol Hill Gong cha and Matcha Magic now open in PikePine

Seattle, WALocal News

Gong cha and Matcha Magic have opened new locations in Capitol Hill's Pike/Pine core, enhancing the area's beverage offerings. Gong cha, the first in the Pacific Northwest from the global tea cafe chain, is celebrating its opening with free drinks at its E Pike location. Founded in Taiwan in 2006, Gong cha operates over 240 stores in the U. S. and 2,200 worldwide.

Matcha Magic, originally launched in Bellevue in 2022, specializes in organic matcha drinks and plans a grand opening on October 11th. The openings come after a damaging fire led to the closure of Post Options, highlighting the need for revitalization in the neighborhood. Both shops contribute to a growing cluster of food and drink startups, including Cafe Vita and Sweetgreen. This trend indicates a shift in consumer preferences toward specialized beverage options. The new additions aim to attract both locals and visitors to the vibrant Capitol Hill area.
