Groups planning Capitol Hill No Kings 2.0 rally before meeting up with Saturdays Seattle Center march

Seattle, WALocal News

On October 18, Seattle will host the “No Kings 2. 0” rally, starting at Seattle Central College and culminating at the Seattle Center. An estimated 70,000 participants are expected to join the demonstration, which includes a chalk-in, rally, and march to the Mexican Consulate. The organizers, including Capitol Hill Pride, aim to highlight LGBTQ+ rights and mutual aid through the event. Speakers such as Liv Morgan, an intersex representative, and Ry Armstrong, a queer/trans leader, will address attendees.

Participants are encouraged to decorate their vehicles to show solidarity and bring canned goods for a mutual aid table. The event reflects the ongoing tradition of grassroots activism in Capitol Hill, where community members have long gathered to support alternative pride events. This rally not only fosters community spirit but also emphasizes the importance of mutual support within the LGBTQ+ community. The planned activities aim to unite diverse voices in a demonstration of love and pride.
