Inspired by the art of Persian hospitality, Open Form gathering space and cafe opening on Capitol Hill

Seattle, WALocal News

Open Form, a new gathering space and cafe, will debut on Capitol Hill on September 5, focusing on Persian hospitality and community engagement. Founded by Tara Almassi, the venue will serve Persian tea, coffee, and natural wine while also hosting events and workshops. Almassi's vision emphasizes the importance of hosting and community, influenced by her Iranian upbringing. This opening coincides with the closure of Mamnoon, a longtime Middle Eastern restaurant in the area, highlighting a shift in the local dining landscape. Open Form will introduce a business model with an $18 “day pass” that includes reserved seating and tea service.

The cafe will occupy a space in the Greenus Building, which has seen a recent change in tenants, including the departure of 8 Limbs Yoga. Almassi has actively shared her goals for the space on social media, aiming to create intimate experiences for guests. As Capitol Hill continues to evolve, Open Form represents a new chapter in the neighborhood's food and drink scene.
