A private jet crashed into a San Diego neighborhood early Thursday, killing multiple individuals aboard and igniting several homes. The aircraft struck a power line in foggy weather before crashing into a residence, causing significant damage and prompting evacuations. Eight residents were treated for smoke inhalation and injuries, but no local fatalities were reported. The victims included music talent agent Dave Shapiro and two employees, with the agency expressing devastation over the loss. Authorities continue to investigate the crash site and recover bodies, with no survivors believed to be aboard.

The home that was struck was destroyed, and about ten others were damaged in the Navy-owned housing area. Local residents described the scene as horrific, with flames engulfing their neighborhood.
