The National History Day competition recently recognized outstanding local talent, as students from Eastlake High School excelled in national rankings. Ila Lu took home first place in the Junior Individual division for her website project on the historical significance of pocket-sized books, while classmates Manya Nagrath and Simren Bajwa earned a top-ten finish for their exhibit on maritime laws related to the Titanic tragedy. Participating during their eighth-grade year at Evergreen Middle School, these students showcased their research and presentation skills.
