The Garage, a popular teen cafe in Issaquah, is actively seeking volunteers to assist in the opening of a new branch in Sammamish. This vibrant space is designed specifically for teens, featuring colorful artwork, cozy seating, and a variety of activities that promote creativity and community engagement. Since its launch in September 2018, The Garage has successfully created a safe environment for teens to socialize, complete homework, and participate in events like open mic nights and movie marathons. The initiative to expand to Sammamish has garnered support from the Sammamish City Council, indicating a strong community commitment to enhancing resources for local youth. Tiana Parry, the program director, highlights the importance of local input and proposes forming a Sammamish chapter of the Teens 4 Teens committee, which will empower teens to influence programming and activities at the new location.

Volunteers are needed for an hour-long monthly meeting and to participate in one planned event each month, significantly improving access to essential services for the approximately 5,000 high school students in the area.
