The Sammamish city government is undertaking several significant infrastructure projects to improve road safety and accessibility for its residents. The ADA Barrier Removal Project, which started on July 15, focuses on replacing non-compliant curb ramps and damaged sidewalk panels along 228th Avenue Southeast, with an anticipated completion date of September 18. Concurrently, maintenance work on road striping and thermoplastic markings is refreshing vital roadway indicators, including fog lines and bike symbols, throughout July and August. A groundbreaking ceremony for the Louis Thompson Tightline Project is set for August 29 at Ebright Park, inviting public participation. Additionally, crews are repainting traffic signal and street light poles along Southeast 30th Street, with work occurring overnight to minimize disruption.

Due to ongoing maintenance on 244th Avenue Northeast, a detour plan will be implemented as repairs to a support wall commence on July 8. Residents are urged to prepare for delays and to exercise caution in construction zones. These projects underscore the city's commitment to enhancing infrastructure and ensuring safer travel for all.
