The Redmond Police Department is actively seeking nominations for a young hero to be honored as “Chief for a Day. ” This program specifically targets children aged 3 to 12 who are coping with chronic or life-impacting medical conditions. The chosen child will enjoy special experiences with law enforcement, fostering a sense of community and support. The culmination of this initiative will take place on August 28, 2025, at the Washington State Criminal Justice Commission, featuring an exciting celebration with police vehicles, K-9s, and drone demonstrations.
