Redmond Launches Community Engagement for Teen Services

Redmond, WALocal News

The City of Redmond, WA, is embarking on a comprehensive community engagement process to understand and enhance services for its teens from April through June 2025. This initiative will involve gathering feedback from local teens, families, and community members to better serve the interests and needs of youth in the area. Mayor Angela Birney highlighted the importance of youth voices in shaping future programs, stating, “Teens are vital to our community’s vibrancy. ” The City will collaborate with the Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee (RYPAC) to ensure that youth perspectives are considered throughout the process. A community meeting will provide a platform for teens to share their insights and ideas directly.

Additionally, an online questionnaire will be available from March 31 to April 21, 2025, to facilitate broader community input. City staff will also attend various community events to gather feedback. These efforts aim to refine Redmond's teen services, aligning them with the evolving needs and aspirations of its youth.
