The City of Redmond is launching an extensive community engagement process to cater to the needs of its teens, running from April through June 2025. This initiative aims to collect feedback from teens, families, and community members to identify necessary services and interests. Mayor Angela Birney underscores the critical role teens play in the community, encouraging them to share their ideas for future programs. The engagement process will prioritize youth perspectives, particularly through collaboration with the Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee (RYPAC). A community meeting is planned for later this spring, providing a platform for teens to express their insights and experiences.

Furthermore, the City will offer multiple avenues for community participation via an online questionnaire and presence at various events. Redmond currently provides a range of services, including arts, sports, and mental health support, designed to foster creativity and personal development. Continuous adaptation of these services is essential to meet the evolving needs of Redmond’s diverse youth.
