The Redmond Police Department executed a domestic violence warrant sweep on October 25, 2023, apprehending five suspects as part of a nationwide initiative. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, around 10 million individuals are affected by domestic violence each year. In Redmond, police dispatch received 711 domestic violence-related calls in 2022, with 578 reported thus far in 2023, indicating a persistent issue within the community.
