Additional Victims Come Forward in Child Molestation Case

Buckland Darrell, a 45-year-old man from Redmond, has been charged with additional counts of first-degree child molestation and first-degree rape of a child following the testimonies of two new victims. The abuse reportedly took place between 2017 and 2021, adding to Darrell's existing convictions for child molestation. He was first arrested in December 2022 after allegations surfaced regarding his interactions with a minor. In March 2023, Redmond detectives arrested him again after he allegedly had sexual contact with a minor in 2020 at a church event. Following the emergence of more victims, Darrell was re-arrested in April 2023.

The police are actively seeking additional victims and have encouraged anyone with pertinent information to reach out to the Redmond Police Department at 425-556-2500. Darrell is currently serving time for his previous child molestation convictions and will soon be arraigned on these new charges. This case highlights the ongoing issues surrounding child abuse and the importance of supporting victims who come forward.
