The City of Redmond is actively seeking candidates for the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC), which has two immediate openings and a third position expected to open after July 1, 2024. The LTAC plays a crucial role in advising the City Council on strategies to enhance tourism activities in Redmond. Candidates are required to represent businesses that must collect lodging tax under Washington state law, particularly those working in hotel management. The committee, comprised of seven volunteer members, meets quarterly to evaluate tourism proposals and recommend special events and grants. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply by May 5, 2024, although applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.

To apply, candidates must complete an application and submit a resume, with an optional letter of interest. For more information, inquiries can be directed to Jackie Lalor, the economic development and tourism program administrator.
