Redmond Police Seeks Assistance in Identifying Fatal Hit-and-Run Victim

On September 14, 2024, the Redmond Police Department reported a fatal hit-and-run incident that left a male pedestrian dead. The collision occurred at around 8:40 p. m. in the 8800 block of Redmond-Woodinville Rd. NE, where the victim, described as an unknown white male in his late 60s or early 70s, was crossing the street.

After the vehicle struck him, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid, leading to major injuries for the pedestrian. He was later transported to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. Thanks to the assistance of community members, police were able to locate the suspect vehicle and take the driver into custody without any incident. The police are now seeking the public's help to identify the victim and gather more details about the incident. The investigation remains active, and authorities encourage anyone with relevant information to reach out to them.
