Redmond, WALocal News

The City of Redmond is now inviting applications for its 2025 tourism grant funding, aimed at boosting local tourism through various projects. These grants are sourced from the lodging tax fund and are intended to support initiatives that promote tourism development and attract visitors, particularly those traveling from over 50 miles away. Organizations that qualify for the grants include cultural, historical, educational, sports, and community groups that host events or promotions that enhance the city's appeal. Applications will be assessed by the Redmond Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) on a competitive basis, following a set of official funding criteria. Grants can cover up to 50% of project costs, providing significant financial support for selected initiatives.

The deadline for submitting applications is set for 2 p. m. on August 19, 2024.
