City Seeks New Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commissioner and Youth Advocate

The City of Redmond is actively seeking candidates for a mid-term commissioner and a youth advocate position on the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission. The mid-term commissioner role spans one year, with the possibility of extending for a second three-year term. In contrast, the youth advocate position is available for residents aged 14 to 18, also for one year with potential renewal. Commissioners will learn about local governance, provide insights on public policies, and participate in city events, ensuring a broad representation of community voices. The city prioritizes diversity in its commission and welcomes all interested residents, including those who previously applied for similar roles.

Monthly meetings occur at 6:30 p. m. on the first Thursday of each month, with a preference for in-person attendance at Redmond City Hall. Applications must be submitted by 5 p. m.
