Celebrate the Redmond Central Connector

The Redmond Central Connector project will finalize a 3. 9-mile trail corridor linking Redmond to Kirkland and Woodinville. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for September 12 at 10 a. m. near Overlake Christian Church.

This section includes a 12-foot-wide paved path, new pedestrian signals, and raised crossings to improve safety. Construction started in Fall 2024 and is slated for completion by Summer 2025. The enhancements will also include roadway reconstruction and storm drainage installation at various intersections. By connecting multiple neighborhoods and existing trails, the project aims to boost pedestrian accessibility in the region. The initiative demonstrates Redmond's commitment to sustainable transportation and community connectivity.

The completed trail will link to extensive pathways towards Sammamish and Issaquah to the south, and Kirkland and Woodinville to the north.
