Fleet Feet is set to reopen the former South Sound Running stores in Olympia and Puyallup under new ownership, with locations reopening on January 2 and January 10, 2025, respectively. New owners Wade and Julie Pannell have committed to enhancing the customer experience with innovative "fit id" technology, which utilizes 3D foot scanning to provide personalized assessments for runners. This ensures customers receive the best-fitting shoes based on their individual foot characteristics. Additionally, the stores will expand their product offerings by introducing popular brands such as HOKA, Altra, and On. Fleet Feet will also maintain the Capital City Marathon Training Program while adding new training opportunities for runners of all levels, including 5K programs and trail running sessions.

The new ownership is actively hiring staff for both locations, inviting interested applicants to contact them directly. With over 275 stores in 40 states, Fleet Feet continues to solidify its position as a leader in the running retail industry. This transition marks a significant change in the local running community, promising to enhance the services available to local enthusiasts.
