Latah County election results certified

Annette Bay Pimentel, Rochelle Smith, and Marci Miller won their seats on the Latah County Library District Board of Trustees as the Latah County Commissioners certified the May 20 election results. Smith led with 3,987 votes, while Pimentel followed with 3,786 votes, both defeating challenger Jeanne Moore for four-year terms. Miller earned a two-year term with 4,078 votes against Bradley Baas. The election results also included the passage of supplemental levies for Potlatch and Whitepine school districts, reflecting community support for local education funding. A total of 5,622 ballots were cast in Latah County, indicating active civic engagement.

The incumbents’ victories suggest a continuation of current library policies and initiatives. Local residents will benefit from the new terms as the board plans to address library services and community needs. The election showcases the importance of local governance and civic participation in shaping educational resources.
