Residential Leaf Collection November 2023

Pullman, WALocal News

The City of Pullman, Washington, will commence its annual leaf collection program from November 6 to November 22, 2023, targeting different neighborhoods on scheduled dates. Military Hill, Sunnyside Hill, Pioneer Hill, and College Hill will each have dedicated collection days, encouraging residents to prepare by raking leaves into the street. Residents are reminded not to bag the leaves or mix them with other debris, as only loose leaves will be collected and repurposed as mulch. The city advises that collection may be affected by weather conditions, necessitating residents to check the official website for real-time updates. Following the leaf collection, street sweepers will be deployed to clean the streets, contingent on weather conditions.

If collection dates are missed, property owners may be responsible for the leaves raked into the street. The Whitman County Landfill also offers free yard waste disposal for residents needing additional options. This initiative not only supports neighborhood aesthetics but also promotes environmentally friendly practices by converting leaves into mulch.
