City Receives Four Bids for Project Downtown

Pullman, WALocal News

The City of Pullman is set to advance its urban development efforts with the recent receipt of four bids for the Project Downtown Pullman, aimed at revitalizing Main Street. This ambitious project includes crucial improvements to infrastructure, such as updating water, sewer, and storm mains, as well as full street and sidewalk reconstruction. In addition to these enhancements, the project will introduce signal work and landscaping, creating a more inviting downtown atmosphere. City staff will meticulously evaluate the bids for responsiveness and completeness ahead of a Special City Council meeting scheduled for February 6th, where the project will be the only agenda item. Emphasizing accessibility, alternative pedestrian routes will be established to ensure that local businesses remain accessible during construction.

This initiative underscores the city's commitment to fostering a vibrant, people-centric community space. Residents are encouraged to engage with their elected officials via email for any questions or concerns. The project represents a significant investment in the future of Pullman's downtown area, aiming to enhance both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
