Whitman County Commissioners Award 100,000 to Project Downtown Pullman

The Whitman County Commissioners have approved an additional $100,000 for Project Downtown Pullman, sourced from the county's 2024 Economic Development Public Facilities Funds, commonly referred to as . 09 Funds. This recent allocation supplements the earlier award of $200,000 granted on September 3, 2024, bringing the total funding for the project to $300,000. Mayor Francis Benjamin expressed sincere appreciation to County Commissioners Art Swannack, Tom Handy, and Michael Largent for their financial support, describing it as a vital vote of confidence as the project nears completion. The funds will be strategically utilized to address various costs associated with Project Downtown Pullman.

The City of Pullman submitted a special consideration request for this funding on December 4, 2024, which was subsequently approved during the commissioners' meeting on December 16, 2024.
