Pullman Police Arrest Homicide Suspect

Pullman Police have successfully arrested Jorge Rigo Amezcua, a 30-year-old resident, in connection with the tragic shooting death of Darcy Spracklin, aged 28. The arrest took place on February 21, 2025, during a coordinated operation involving the Whitman County Regional SWAT Team at a private residence. Spracklin was initially found unresponsive on December 26, 2024, following a report of a medical emergency, and succumbed to his injuries at Pullman Regional Hospital shortly thereafter. Amezcua has been charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance, highlighting the severity of the allegations against him. The Pullman Police Department has acknowledged the significant support received from both the SWAT team and the Quad Cities Drug Task Force in making this arrest possible.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities anticipate releasing more information to the public. This case underscores the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces in addressing violent crime within the community. The local police remain committed to ensuring justice for the victim and their family.
