The City of Pullman has issued a Notice of Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) for the Mountain View - Garden City Improvements 2025 project, a crucial initiative aimed at rehabilitating utility and roadway infrastructure on four residential streets. With a total length of approximately 2500 linear feet, this project will involve the complete dig-out of SW Daisy St, SW Kimball Dr, SW Mountain View Dr, and the southern end of SW State St, followed by the replacement of existing surfacing with hot mix asphalt (HMA). A significant aspect of the project includes the complete replacement of water mains and the upgrade of select storm lines and sanitary lines, which are vital for maintaining effective drainage and sanitation. In addition to these improvements, the project will enhance accessibility by adding and replacing ADA ramps, sidewalks, and curb and gutter systems. Comments regarding the DNS are welcomed and must be directed to RJ Lott, AICP Director of Community Development, by 5:00 p. m. on February 6, 2025.
