Police, FBI make drug bust in Moscow
In a coordinated effort, the FBI and local police arrested four individuals in Moscow early Sunday morning during a drug bust. The arrested individuals include Cyra Cunningham, Janet Pakootas, Kevin Lee Tannehill, and Ruben Padilla, apprehended just after 1 a. m. at Sunset Mart. Law enforcement had been tracking Tannehill, who allegedly traveled to Spokane to procure powdered fentanyl.
Upon stopping Tannehill's vehicle, police arrested all four individuals and discovered methamphetamine and fentanyl on Cunningham and Pakootas. Additionally, Pakootas attempted to destroy a glass pipe, which led to further charges. Cunningham faces charges for possession of methamphetamine and trafficking in fentanyl, while Pakootas is charged with possession and destruction of evidence. Tannehill was arrested for a probation violation, and Padilla had an outstanding warrant. All four suspects are now held in Nez Perce County jail, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
